For many years, visiting a canyon in Arizona was near the top of my bucket list. I've always been drawn to the colors, light, and amazing natural features, but had zero interest in being rushed through a tourist trap like Antelope Canyon. But with my 40th birthday coming up, it seemed like the perfect time to cross a canyon off the list. After stumbling across nearby "Cardiac Canyon", which had only been visited by a few hundred people and offered nearly solo tours, my then-girlfriend added it to a whole west coast tour.


Sandwiched between trips to Vegas and LA , I packed by Z6, a 14-30mm lens, and my most fashionable hiking outfit.
